I’m Bill Voyce the creator of occulo, an idea I initially had over thirty years ago to create a puzzle for the blind. I built prototypes out of rainwater pipe and balsa wood and used a glass marble as the ball. Unfortunately I did not have the resources or knowhow to take it any further. So, the Voyik Tube as I had christened it, was put into a draw and forgotten about.
The 2020 Covid Lockdown. I had essential worker status based in Leeds North England, far from my Cornish home. At night there was nothing to do but stay locked away in my hotel room.
Encouraged by my youngest daughter to do something about all the good ideas I had I felt it was time to develop this puzzle. So here we are moving in the right direction to make it a reality.
